Profitability of Cattle Fattening Enterprise in Maiduguri, Borno State, Nigeria

The study determined the profitability of cattle fattening in Maiduguri. Data were collected from a random sample 300 fatteners using well-structured questionnaire. data analyzed gross margin analysis and stochastic profit production function. Analysis cost returns revealed mean per N46, 581.63 with feed accounting for more than 83.9% average total variable cattle. This suggests that is highly profitable venture most dominant fattening.
